Somebody could get hurt! they’d tell you. That the entire assumption is wrong - that the use of force on a citizen that is no threat to you or anyone else is wrong - seems lost and forgotten. This is a fatal step - for the police - to be seen as an occupying force instead of an organic part of the community they protect will undermine law enforcement and alienate the objects of their attention.
